I worked on these most of the week.
Now back to housework...YUK!
Here a some of my red velvet strawberry pinkeeps...
The one with the bead cap ('tis SOLD) is filled with walnut shells, blanket stitched around the leaves and made a matching twisted chord for two of the bigger ones.
The next one in the center has blanket stitching around the leaves, feather stitched the seam and did a fly stitch for the leaf veins. This one is filled with poly fill.
The small one in the back I made some time ago...It travels with me everywhere I go...not much fancy work but this is what started it all. I have been so inspired by all the others I see on the internet, I just had to give it a try. I find it very soothing and relaxing.
STRAWBERRY #1 (SOLD)
STRAWBERRY #2
MY KEEPER...
Goes with me everywhere.
Here is my HELIANTHUS Pinkeep...
(Being offered up FOR SALE)
commonly known as the Common Sunflower
Those are black beads in the center.
Mounted it on a vintage textile spool.
I love how it is now elevated for easy reaching
and keeping pins handy.
I am making another for ME.
Yes, you guessed it, there is a small strawberry at the base. Made it of vintage aged butter, yellow velvet and stuffed it with carded wool, tiny blanket stitches around the leaves, added a MOP ring and a twisted fob chord
