CLOSE TO FINISHING . . .

Just a qwik update...

It has been a slow learning process for me.  I have never used thimbles and am very much all thumbs.  Improvising here 'n there.
The last row of darker pennys will have the open (scalloped) finish.
The back side is pretty.  Prettier than expected.
Shows my stitching from the underside.
Will not be adding a backing for that reason.
This is a keeper and I want to see my progression,
if there ever will be any.
Thanks for visiting.

  1. Hi Barb,
It is looking GREAT!! Love those pretty stitches around the pennies!! It really does look good on the back as well and I'm glad you are keeping it!!! I have been using thimbles for years and have a hard time sewing without them, but know they are something to get used to!! My thoughts and prayers are definitely with those who lost loved ones!!
Take care and hope you have a good week!
    Heart Hugs~

    1. HI Julie, Thank you so much and Yes, I am pleased. Slow but sure, am getting the hang for stitching these. I purchased a thimble that looks like it has a fingernail. Cee uses hers religiously and I do not have long nails... mine are short, very short.

Being Catholic, we have been praying the Rosary for WORLD PEACE. There are too many unanswered questions about this man. No matter, answers will not bring back lost loved ones, but perhaps, a broader and bigger understanding ... WHY???
Warm wishes to you too for a great week and continued prayers for America and our President.

      Peace and Blessings for ALL,
      Barb

  2. It is absolutely unthinkable what happened in Las Vegas. My son (who used to live there and is moving back soon he hopes) says all his friends are ok but he is devastated what happened in a place he loves.
Your work is perfection and yes, the back is almost as pretty as the front.
    God Bless America!

    1. Hi Lauren, We have a niece who just moved to Murrieta/Temecula, CA area just this past month. She has friends who were at the concert or were working in the area. Thankfully, none of them were physically harmed just traumatized emotionally. We count our blessings as we live 2 1/2 hours away and terrorist thoughts were on our minds. We personally, have not ruled out those possibilities either. Our Daughter was is NY city with 3 very close friends celebrating her 50th BDay. We were relieved when she/they arrived back home in CA, all safe and sound after having a fantastic BD celebration, fortunately, prior to this evil
      massacre.
Pray for all those effected and touched by this wicked, malignant crime.
Sending you warm wishes for a wonderful week with Peace and Blessings for All.

GOD BLESS AMERICA and our President Trump...
      Barb
